Multiquote: Right side bottom of the message window. Second gadget from the left. click on it in the order you want the posts to be quoted. Then hit the normal reply gadget for the thread. Edit as necessary. It prevents getting "auto merged"

The index to my blog was slipping off the first page, so I went in to edit the page, and under publish status changed "Publish Now" to "Publish On" and set the date to five minutes ago.

I get "Sorry - No matches" for both of those links.
Ah. I have a nearby number when I click the "new posts" link on the home page. (Which says "6" beside it, but when I click the link, only one post appears.)

Well, if you started the thread, I think that it would be assumed that you had already read what you posted. New posts is for things that you haven't read yet.
In the 'Blog Control Panel' you can 'create custom pages' and it will permanently post your index as a linked page at the side or top of the main page. That way it won't keep slip sliding away.You can also go to 'blog sidebar' and then create a 'custom block' with your index that shows up on the side. Either way should work with a little fiddlin'.
*edit* I did the last option on my own blog page, with your index, so you can see how it looks. I'll take it down tomorrow.

You can also find that out by clicking on someone's name. A drop down appears with there relevant stats. Clicking on that stat box also takes you to the P&PG experience page.
