I have been lurking and reading and attempting to contact Mr(s). Umiushi via PM but since I am newly registered I believe that feature is disabled. I do not know if this thread is a proper place to introduce myself since it seems to be quite stale.

I would like to indicate my interest. I have little to no knowledge of D&D but I have played a few RPGs in the past so I understand the theory and mechanics of pen and paper games. I usually prefer cyberpunk and futuristic mecha style universes but a fondness for Lord of the Rings and the enthusiastic description of D&D from a coworker has prodded me into learning about this system. I would be happy to take over an existing character instead of creating my own to introduce at a later date. A friend will be providing an electronic copy of the handbook to me very soon.

I have had a preliminary discussion with Umiushi and I hope to join the party as Ariellana at some point. Right now I am reviewing the game thread which started in 2009, so it may take a few days to catch up.

Hopefully I can convince Umiushi to bonk her on the head so I won't feel so pressured to portray her as Cocoa did. LOL! Partial memory loss or personality shift would be beneficial to me at this point . (just kidding, I don't want to disrupt the character as it exists).

I'm very happy to see both openings filled so quickly. I'd like to welcome Q-man and Malk0lm to the game. As he requested, Malk0lm will be playing Ariellana until his original character is introduced. I have hopes that he will be able to do her justice without me having to give her selective amnesia. Q-man's character will be along very shortly and it will be up to him whether he will be playing Karu in the interval between now and then.
