A question, rather than a suggestion. What is the site policy on posting ads for trades or items for sale? I really just want to try and trade some stuff.

If there is some desire for such a spot, I could create a forum for it.

Color me curious. I would end up scoping out such a forum if it existed.

Look out, kirksmithicus is tyring to find a way to unload that armadillo that's been hanging out on his lawn.

Seriously, I would take a look at what folks have listed. I am pretty sure Etarnon would too.

Yes, I'd definitely utilize such a forum, daily.

I wonder if I could send an Armadillo via USPS media mail?

The rate changes based upon whether it is shipped alive or dead. Obviously, living armadillos must be express or overnight shipped or risk spoilage in transit...

What does an armadillo eat? I don't think they'd do well in the snow of Pittsburgh. Now if you could catch one of those West / South Texas Ocelots, well...I know of a certain game company that could use a mascot.

Making trips to the wheeling zoo to see one just hasn't been cutting it.

They are insectivores and scavengers, Hence the rooting and finding them on the road poking at road kill before they themselves become roadkill.

But back on topic, yeah a place to offer up things for trade would be cool. I just didn't know if there were any legal issues or other reasons for not having one.

Hmm, I'd check it out. I dunno if I'd have much to offer. I'd probably post packets of dice since I really do need to pair down my collection after getting 2 pounds of random chessex dice. I wonder if the artists of the community might use it to offer their services? How difficult would it be to add in a paypal link?

It would be cheaper than E-bay. Till some member got toasted and complained. Leave the trading to those willing to charge for it. Harder for folks like me that like to collect certain things ... but much safer for all concerned. been burned and don't like it.

Yeah that's one of the things I worry about. It's all good until someone gets screwed over, then it just starts causing problems and turns into a headache for the site, and the people who get stiffed. I certainly don't want to turn the site into a mini e-bay, Anyway, maybe a bad idea.

Hear THAT Farcaster?? I have seen so many complements about what a nice AND friendly site this is. This is a type of thing that could ruin it. Some things would be quite lovely but still should not be done. That's all I'll have to say for this suggestion. Even if it is a good one and/or popular.
