I noticed that the items on the tool bar have been shuffled. I use the "User CP" and "New post" frequently.

Was anything added or just a reorganization?

I'm in the process of doing some upgrades. The navigation bar is not exactly as I want it yet. But I since I was in there tinkering with things, it got changed.

Well, if you're looking for any input, I do prefer it this way, with "User CP" being up the toolbar itself rather than in a drop-down menu. It's always the first thing I click when I go to the site.

Really? What do you use in the UserCP -- the subscriptions? Just curious. And absolutely I am open to input.

Pretty much, yeah. I click that, and I see any of "my threads" (ones I've participated in or subscribed to) have been updated. Once I check all those threads, then I proceed to the "New Posts" button.

I could probably get by just going to New Posts first, as the same threads will show up there, but I'm anxious to see if anybody's replied to anything I've said. On higher-traffic boards, "User CP" is an absolute godsend.

I do the same thing. Participant threads then run the new stuff.

Hmm.. I always just do New Posts and then look for the ones that have a check mark -- indicating that I posted in those threads.

Well, ya gotta consider... This forum uses basically the same format as some other message boards I frequent. The difference is, they're more high-traffic. If I go to one of the others and click "New Posts", it'll list about 150 threads. So I get in the habit over there, and continue the habit over here.

I added some tabs to the top to unclutter the navigation bar. Let me know what you think.

i am liking the tabs, myself. =D also that the blogs now have their own shiny new top-level exposure.

The blogs are a work in progress. I'm planning on moving from the software we use now to something that is far better integrated. You'll now be able to see people's blogs right from their profile for instance. I haven't finished polishing that up though, so I hadn't put out an announcement.
