Very sweet news, my friend. Be sure to let us know what you think. I'm hoping to have mine by this time next week, so I've still got some time to kill before satisfaction is achieved.

    Togruta

Ability Modifiers: +2 Dexterity, -2 Constitution.
    Medium Size
Pack Hunter: Togruta deal and extra 2 points of damage on melee attacks against opponents they flank.
Sneaky: A Togruta can choose to reroll any Stealth check to sneak, but the result of the reroll must be accepted even if it is worse.
Spatial Awareness: Togruta can sense their surroundings using pasive echolocation. Togruta ignore all cover and concealment when making Perception checks to notice targets within 10 squares.

Yeah, looks like I was pretty close, with a few minor reworkings between editions. They traded the +2 Wis bonus for the "Pack Hunter" trait and changed the workings on Spatial Awareness slightly (I actually think I like the "new" Spatial Awareness rules better).

Came home from work today and my Force Unleashed guide had indeed arrived. I just spent a little time giving it a quick skim and my initial impression is...WOW!

This book is at least on par with the KotOR guide in terms of sheer amount of usable information, excellent presentation, organization and style. This is solid "A-list" Star Wars RPG material. Really awesome stuff.

Okay, I'll be the first to say it (yeah right) but I just didn't think that WotC could pull a Star Wars RPG together the way they have. Especially seeing the recent products of the sort of quality present in the KotOR and FU sourcebooks, color me sincerely impressed...shocked even.

With my general distaste for all things 3.X and the two previous travesties of games that WotC called Star Wars d20, I just was not prepared to be so thoroughly inspired by their work. I was a big time WotC nay-sayer for a while and while I still have my gripes against the company, it's marketing agendas and intellectual properties, I'll admit that Star Wars Saga is rapidly goading me to turn the other cheek.

It's a very good game that, despite my pessimistic expectations, has only proven to make itself better and more appealing over time...so far.

Who knows what the future holds for the Star Wars Saga game line, but if WotC can maintain a positive trend while they've got it, I think we have a lot more to look forward to...and this is coming from a (always was and always will be) crotchety, die-hard Star Wars D6 veteran. I won't give up my D6 nor will I ever seek to, but I'll proudly save a seat for Saga at my game table.

Force Unleashed Campaign Guide Initial Impression: A+

Yes, it is a very high quality supplement that (to me) is at least as good as the KotOR guide.

There is only (very minor) disappointment that I had with the FU guide and that was that it does not seem to explore the idea from the video game of "combing Force Powers". There may be some legitimate game balance reasons for doing so, but it would have been really cool to see the Unleashed feat allow ways to combine Force Grip and Move Object for instance, or Kinetic Combat with Force Lightning.

Yes, some of it would be rather "video game-y", but stuff like Grip/TK is not at all unprecedented in the Star Wars universe.

Still, the Unleashed feat adds an interesting new dimension to characters, Force-Sensitive or not. And the book has a lot to offer your game besides just Unleashed abilities which only make up a rather small part of the book (perhaps 8 pages or so).

This is as close to "must-buy" territory as you can get for SW Saga.
