We have had an age poll. I am curious as to how long you have played RPGs and what the spread is.

EDIT: Sorry for my dislexia in the poll question.

I guess I could have lowered myself a notch for time off in between sometimes.

1974-1975 or so. It was in the very beginning. Still have everything ever purchased, including all the Dragons beginning with issue 1.

I've been slowly ditching mine. I'm a user not a collector, and I got the Dragon Archive.

Probably would have done the same but my brother, a fellow gamer, has 2 younglings and our excuse for keeping them are for the kids... when they get old enough.

    Wargaming in '72 or so
    RPGing in '77
    LAN parties in '97
    RPGing again in '06

I have a bunch of gear including Dragon and White Dwarf 1. Not to collect, just because I don't like getting rid of stuff. It's part of my past

Thinking back, I actually started playing in 1994 while in Corpsman "A" School...Battletech at the time. Started playing D&D about a year later, and been hooked ever since. I've played a lot of systems since then, but always loved gaming.

I've been around so long, I actually had to use chits.

I'd bet some of the younger gamers don't even know what those are.

Oh yeah. I managed to keep all the chits from the mini-game that came with The Orcs of Thar Gazetteer.

I also picked up the re-releases of Tom Wham's Snit Smashing, Snits' Revenge and Awful Green Things From Outer Space which all have hordes of chits.

    89/90 - Twilight 2000 (not quite a gamer yet)
    91 - AD&D 2nd, full gamer from there on

As for chits, heard them mentioned before but really no idea what they are. Guess I'm not quite that old yet

    I thought that was snits.

The Tom Wham stuff from Dragon was great fun.
