Regarding the forums at www.abberant.com. Since I get several dozen emails from the forums each day of attempts to register (all spambots) which I ignore, I set up the same usernames as each of you have on PnP using the last four digits of the provided phone numbers as the password. If you want the ability to post there you now have it and may change the password and/or update your profile.

We can continue posting here, but the ability to establish gaming groups (forum subgroups) seems beyond normal permissions. That means increasing function beyond what we have here in this thread is limited and additional threads we might create are not going to be "grouped" for easy access (at least without special accomodations from Farcaster).

I may be missing something since I am slightly proficient and by no means a guru(ergh99?), but at present I cannot even update/change the poll for this existing thread.

Hey, I went to your site and I set up a profile but after I hit submit it logged me out and refuses to let me back in. I did change my password, does that have to be approved or something?

I guess so. It deactivated your account. It is active again now. Thanks for posting to tell me. I guess for others it might be wise to post on the intro board before changing a password so I know to reactivate.

I wish there was a setting to change, but my messageboard is not as advanced and any better permissions would allow self-registration as well. I had it set for that originally and the spambots were smarter than the available dynamic registration criteria. It was a mess. If you notice the BB has well over 300 registered users (with well over 300 of them spambots and all inactive as long as I disallow self-registering).

Updating the messageboard is apparently beyond my ability or unacceptable to my host. As attempts to load a more recent version failed for multiple attempts. I am also not skilled in changing the skin so it remains generic.

I reset the BB at abberant.com. Mike you need to 1st post again. The usernames and passwords are back as below. No one should have to be activated again by admin when changing their profile now.
