woot! now go out there and spread word. =D
Well, it looks like yesterday we quietly slipped over the four thousand mark. How cool is that? 4,000 registered users from all over the US, Canada and some even across the globe have found their way here to the Pen & Paper Games community. This is excellent progress. Truly, as good as our Player Registry search functions and player matching tools might be, without a strong showing of players it would be worthless.
Thanks to all of you who have helped build this site up and get the word out there. Considering that we've done very little in the way of paid advertisements, I think it is a testament to this community that we've been able to bring in so many gamers.
Great job! And here's to bringing in the next thousand.

Haven't check anything yet from last night but I'd like to say Farcaster that 'create group' ability means that using Yahoo, like an old campaign I was part of did, is now obselete for me anyway.
I hope NewYorkEldarin is not too lame a name and that I can work that interface to get more registered users for the board. If not I'll come up with a cooler name.

Absolutely. The social groups is a great way to create an area for your personal gaming group or something much larger like a area meetup group. If you become a "community supporter," you can also create your own fully featured sub-forum for your group members to use.
Enjoy!
How many of the 4000 have actually filled a minimum of info in their profile so they can be reached by the player registry features ?

I haven't run the numbers recently, but our conversion rate on getting location information for the Player Registry is somewhere in the 85% range.
Wow! That's great, sincerely if we had that much voter turnout in the 2008 election we, the United States, should be proud. And you get that much follow through on the player registry? AWESOME!

But I think the voters of Iraq had a higher percentage than that.

Seems like over the last 3 or 4 weeks, there has been a lot more people becoming members. Alas, not that many in my neck of the woods, though.
