this is a community that was set up pretty much for the same reason, but on a more indie game frame of mind. The guys that helped put it all together can help you there.
I know there are several people in this area who play and I'd like to get together a list of players and games to keep things fresh. So where do I start?

I do not play them here or there, I do not play them anywhere, I do not play them with a fox. I do not mash that button box. I do not like MMO games. In the end ther're all the same.

Depends on if you are going to be the GM/DM or not. If you are, then post your campaign on the campaign invitations. Also be sure to check for other invitations in your area. If you haven't done so yet, be sure to list yourself on the Player's Registry here too.
oh, i thought you were putting together something like a meetup group.

I'm sorry I am looking to do something like a meet up. I didn't specify.
Is there anyone interested in doing so?
If so please post here unless one of the mods move me.
I think if you leave this thread here it will disappear. What I would do would be to create a profile and register your game of post that you are looking for a game. That way people might find you. Also, you will want to check back on occasion, maybe even post some times. The threads are quite interesting at times.

Also this site is GREAT for creating a local group and then you can encourage people to join your community group on P&PG. This site is actually one of the most full-featured forums I have ran across.
You can create a social group, then create a forum that shows up in Social Groups forums. It's rather quite simple. Then just copy the link and put that in your forum signatures where you wander on the InterWebs.
Also, build a poster and hang them at local game shops with the information.
Where should this be located at then? I have my profile set as looking for game. Also I've found some people in driving distance of me but I've not heard from them. I guess someone will come along.
You can hit their profiles and send them private messages. also, some people allow email contact through their profile (it comes up with a form and the system emails them on your behalf). Having your profile is one step. You should also try and contact local players and see if they have games with open spots. Have you searched\browsed the Find Games (campaigns) under Player Registry?
- Click on the top level Player Registry and then Social Groups.
- At the bottom of the page is a link Create a New Group.
- Select Options and then OK
- Wa La! Your new Social Group is ready.
As the owner you can then go to your group and there will be a link at the bottom that allows you to create an associated Forum. Create it!!
Then use the link to this Social Group to advertise it's existence in your area, on forums, etc.
Also, you can create a nifty bar (like mine at the bottom) to put in your sigs all over the place. Go to edit your signature and there are a couple boxes at the bottom where you can cut\paste the code. It entices people to check out your P&PG profile!
Happy Gaming!

Ta-da, NARG is now in existance!!!!!!
NARG!!!
I love it. Congrats, now you are in the same boat I am - advertising!!![]()
So......other than advertise the heck out of it, whats the next step? Do I send it up to the group forums?
I have found that between this site and Paizo.com, you should have no problems finding players. Best of luck in your search.
Game on!

If you created a group forum, it should appear on the Social Groups forum area on the forum home page.
