What are the odds? Both of my rolls using the Roll function have both been 1s!

I've got a question here...
How the heck do I actually accomplish a die roll in a post?
I see the the "ROLL" button and saw that it puts tags on an expression, but when I went to preview the post there was nothing there and it vanished from the message draft.
I wanted to roll some sort of perception to see if Aeliss could determine which name affected which character so he'd know who was who. I figured the characters would find out in a minute when introduced at the bishops, but I also figured it was a good way to get my own self introduced to the rolling mechanics here.
It's all new to me, so please let me know how I should do it. An example of what I should have typed in my game post would be nice.
Thanks!
Joe
As for the Roll function, I found information here: http://www.penandpapergames.com/foru...+%5B%2Froll%5D
I just use the following (without spaces) [ roll=dice ] Action Description [ / roll ].

Apparently, with a stupidity rating of 4, I am just stupid enough to NOT use the search feature of the forum.
Thanks for the help!

No problem. I found the Roll function when I was reading through the threads about a month ago. I just wish I could roll more than a 1 with my 1d10s!

Thanks for posting that. I had missed the link also and was getting some pretty pathetic rolls![]()
Sorry for my delays in posting over the past week or so. Work has me in Mexico and pretty overloaded.
At least I'll be back home for the weekend - whew!
JR - I'm happy with the way you're running the campaign so far, thank you.
Joe
Sorry the job has you traveling so much. I just finished about a month on the road myself and it's good to be home. The delays in posting are not a problem.
I'm glad that you like the way it's going and any feedback anyone wants to offer is greatly appreciated. I'm also running a version of this over on RPOL if you want to see how another group of players are working through it.
Hey, what's the game status - I haven't seen a new post in over a week,
Melefresh
I'm sort of wondering that myself. I've been waiting for additional posts from Nasamual and Webhead.
I screwed up.
Posting tonight and still looking forward to where we're headed to get out of the cathedral.

It's not a problem at all
I realized that I had a question about how you are handling multiple attack rolls. Are you using the standard Cinematic Unisystem rule where the die is rolled once and that total is applied to all of your attacks (imposing the multiple action penalty as appropriate)? Or would you like us to make a seperate die roll for each attack? I just realized that I was using the default rule in my first combat round post and wasn't clear if that was the way you wanted to run it. Obviously, making each attack roll seperate reduces the effectiveness of the "Heroic Effort" Drama Point use slightly, but I have no particular preference, just whichever way you want to run it.
By the way...cool game thus far!
Edit: Oh...also, by the way, I've been rolling phenominally (perhaps uncharacteristically) well so far this game. However, if at any time there should be any concern about my die rolls, let me know and I will be more than happy to make ammends.
