    Adding 6 to the (first) Fort save of 11 gives me a 17 to resist the massive damage. Hope it's enough.

    Dropping the troll left you awkwardly angled for attacking the next bloodtroll, your cleave attack fans the air, but your return swing clobbers the bloodtroll and you feel a surge of power flow along your sword into you. It looks peeved.

    Shashakhad bats out the last lingering flames on him... that was rough, but you just pulled through.

    An horrendous racket unlike anything you have ever heard goes off like an explosion behind the trolls, and an almost visible shock wave of air and sound washes over them. They seem to be getting really angry. Except for the one that slumped to the ground... slack jawed unconsciousness does not do anger well.... {{{nice shot, kranchan!}}}

    -Shashakhad will take a full round shape his mind blade into a bastard sword. He will take a 5 foot step back as well. Hopefully this will take him out of the room.

    Sarissa's (tentative) action

    She'll keep whaling on the trolls! She does a full attack, yelling "The power of justice be done!", and simultaneously says, "I'll take care of these! Someone get that wizard!" She power-attacks for 1.

    This gets more complicated, however. She begins by attacking a wounded troll. At some point, hopefully, she drops it. Whenever that happens, she Cleaves. This Cleave will be against another troll. At that point, she spends an action point to become focussed, then manifests a quickened Dissolving Weapon, with a 4-level wild surge. She then continues with her attack; the first hit does extra acid damage. The cost would normally be 19 points, but with the wild surge it's 15, for 13d6 damage. She uses her Chaotic Surge ability to randomly affect the damage. Note: She is casting defensively, with no chance of failure thanks to her high Concentration check.

    The results: I am assuming that the 3rd attack, for 20, is a miss; the 1st and 2nd attacks are probably hits. Her acid damage is empowered. Total damage:

    The 67.5 is rounded down to 67, of course.

    I'm going to cast another Cacophonic Burst (20ft radius burst, reflex half DC 19, SR Yes, SpC p41) into the room so that it hits all or as many of the enemy as I can and none of my allies.

    Malephicent, having been sitting back and carefully analyzing the dynamics, makes her move. At her gesture, a wall of flame springs up between Sar and the trolls, a wave of heat visibly rolling out towards the trolls. the flames themselves lick at the blades of the combatants. The wall cuts across the room diagonally.

    {{{will Malephicent, Shashakhad, and Sarissa please make a listen and spot check? i'm taking the initiative to act on behalf of jkfoote for Malephicent for now.... }}}

    The two trolls barely hesitate before charging through the flames attempting to push Sarissa out of the room. {{{this provokes an attack of opportunity due to the bull rush attempt on Sarissa. i'll pause here for response. }}}

    Sarissa's response to bull rush

    First, she takes her AOO against the first troll; note that she has already used Cleave this round, so she doesn't get one:
    Second: Each bull rush attempt has a 20% miss chance due to her armor. Assuming 2 attempts (only 2 trolls left, correct?):

    Jacinth observes his handiwork, noting the precision of his skills, and feeling the empty hollowness of it all. his prayers in a darkened mirror echo of his skills, fall into an empty void. His introspection ends when Gil emits a low rumbling thunder, and shambles around the priest. He hackles, seeming to grow half again in size as his fur puffs out in threat. Beyond his massive bulk, through the entrance out into the courtyard, some bloodtrolls are visible. They stop short upon seeing the dire bear, clearly surprised. One of them is a massive brute, a clear head above the others in height.

    Sarissa counters the first attempt to push her out with a well placed blow. However, the second catches her off-balance and manages to shove her entirely through the doorway and into the room beyond.

    Shashakhad steps back out of the way slightly, reshaping his mind blade. As he does so, he suddenly notices the door moving as though it was pushed from behind... after the bloodtroll had completely passed it....

    Veld casts another spell. The sonic cacophony is again unleashed into the room. {{{have i ever mentioned how i appreciate your spellcasting notes? save dc, area, damage, book reference... you rock!}}}

    Malephicent is distracted by the bloodtroll coming out of the room and does not notice the door, but she is quick enough on the attack. A crackle of energy in her hand lances out into a ravening bolt of pure energy, striking the bloodtroll glancingly upon the shoulder.

    Sarissa's Spot/Listen, plus actions

    Sorry, I managed to miss the Spot/Listen checks. It may be too late; if not:

    Sarissa's action depends on the others. She shouts, "Can someone else find and deal with that wizard?!"

    If the answer is No, she pulls a power stone of True Seeing (her only one!) from her pouch and activates it. She manifests defensively (no chance of failure) so as to avoid an AOO. Then she shouts out any interesting information she finds and takes a 5' step towards the wizard, assuming she sees him. After that, she wild-surges and manifests a wild surge with Chaotic Surge and spends an action point to re-focus herself and manifests a quickened Disintegrate. (Fort save DC26.)
    See below for the wild surge and chaotic surge results.
    Net result if she takes this course of action: 66 damage, or 22 on a successful save. IMPORTANT: I forgot to roll her touch attack.

    If the answer is Yes, then she does one of two things.

    If she's made aware of the newcomers (e.g. by a companion shouting something about them), then she shouts "I'll try to deal with the big one!" Then she takes a move action to run towards the double doors, suffering an AOO from the troll as she does so. Once she's in line-of-sight of the big one, she manifests Ego Whip; she wild-surges and uses her Chaotic Surge. She's spending 19 power points on it, so its save DC is increased to 29 (DC 29 Will save). NOTE: The enemy still takes half damage on a successful save. See below for the wild surge/Chaotic Surge results. If that fails to drop the big troll, she uses an action point to refocus and manifests another, quickened Ego Whip. Once again she does wild surge and Chaotic Surge. She ends up spending 13 power points for a 17th-level manifestation (11 pp, plus 6 for quickening); the net result is a DC 25 Will save or take 3d4 points of Cha damage.

    Net result if she takes this course of action: 21 points of Cha damage, or 10 on a successful DC 29 Will save. If the first Ego Whip fails to drop him, the second is normal damage: 7 more points, or 3 on a successful DC 25 Will save. In the latter case (only if the first EW does not drop him), she spends 13 more power points, then loses 11 from Psychic Enervation. She would be dazed in this case, but will postpone it for 3 rounds. Again, the enervation only occurs if the first EW fails to drop the big troll.

    Finally, if someone else is dealing with the wizard and Sarissa is NOT aware of the newcomers, she full-attacks the trolls. Again, wild surge and Chaotic Surge results are below. She begins by attacking a wounded troll. At some point, hopefully, she drops it. Whenever that happens, she Cleaves. This Cleave will be against another troll. At that point, she spends an action point to become focussed, then manifests a quickened Dissolving Weapon, with a 4-level wild surge. She then continues with her attack; the first hit does extra acid damage. The cost would normally be 19 points, but with the wild surge it's 15, for 13d6 damage. She uses her Chaotic Surge ability to randomly affect the damage. Note: She is casting defensively, with no chance of failure thanks to her high Concentration check.
    Net result if she takes this course of action: Probably just one hit--lousy rolls. BUT that one hit is a possible crit:
