Sounds like you are still playing GURPS 3rd Edition. The rest of us down here are playing GURPS 4th Edition, which came out about four years ago.
As far as you giving up, you didn't try very hard, since Steve Jackson Games has most of it's 3rd Edition titles available through their "Warehouse 23", or in PDF format through "E23". Then there is the whole E-bay thing, and if you do a little checking, you can get alot of 3rd Edition titles very cheap. That's where I sold most of mine, except that I still have my copy of GURPS Fantasy Bestiary.
Steve Jackson Games also sells alot of new stuff in PDF format through their website. You should check out their "Creatures of the Night" series. Each one is for 4th Edition, and includes about eight to ten new monsters each time, complete with the background and options for dropping them into any campaign. All you need to have is a computer with Adobe Acrobat Reader, and pay them a couple of bucks, and you can download to your hearts content.
Check out there website at:
www.sjgames.com and use the links to get to their products, and then into the browse feature of "Warehouse 23", and also "E23", if you want to see the list of PDF's available.
Hope this helps you get caught up with the 21st century.
