    Depends on the free thing. For 400+ bucks worth of glass shelving I drove to Battle Creek, 114 miles one way.

    For a free Amiga 2000 60 miles, about the same for an A3000.

    So yes, what the free thing is will depends greatly how far I will drive.

    we would drive about 30-40 miles to get A&W root beer from a keg instead of the made-for-the-shelf recipe. that was the nearest A&W restaurant. had good fries and burgers, too. ^^ we'd make a date of it. =D
