I'd like to get a group together to play at least one of the new indie/story rpgs I got for Christmas. Burning Wheel is probably my first choice right now, but I would be willing to GM Don't Rest Your Head, Mortal Coil, or some other indie rpg. We would meet here twice a month on either Friday or Saturday afternoon or evening.

You don't have to know the system rules to join the group.

Burning Wheel is a fantasy rpg that is 5 or 6 years old. Wikipedia has a good entry on it.

You might have me just because I'm curious about Burning Wheel, but you're going to need to get DitV (Dogs in the Vineyard for those who aren't nerds like me) at some point or another: I've heard too much about it to not want to play it.

Great. I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks this game looks interesting.

We're thinking about meeting on the afternoon of Friday the 11th or Saturday the 12th. Would that work for you?

    Burning Wheel

I am intrested, but I am starting in a group on Sat. 12th and every other Sat. from there on.

I am self employed, but I work contracts so I am not always open to play on Fridays except after 6 pm.

In order to give the most people the chance to meet, we will have our first meeting at the 1/2 price Books on Northwest Highway this Saturday at 3.

The normal meeting place for our group will be either Valley View Center or my apartment which is right nearby. However, I've been trying to figure out when most of us could get together for a first meeting. Dimthar reminded me that there is a meetup at 1/2 price books this Saturday, so we may as well have our first meeting there.

I hope to see you all on Saturday. If any of you can't make it, PM me, and I'll try to meet you one on one.

This Saturday, we will meet each other, brainstorm characters, and roll a few dice. I don't know how far into an adventure we'll get, but we might at least start one. We will also discuss whether future meetings should be on Friday or Saturday.

I'll see about making the meetup (shouldn't be any reason for me not to be able to). It's a touch further away than I'd like, but not as bad a drive as I had been making even just recently, and I'm really interested in trying Burning Wheel.

So yeah, I hope to see you there on Saturday.
