Hey, if you haven't ever played Marvel or if you have and don't have copies of the books anymore. Take a look at this page for PDF's of all (& I do mean ALL) of the Classic Marvel Super Heroes rpg.

It's vintage 1980's Marvel Universe, but it's well worth your time.

Good find Phishy. I always used http://zap.to/zans for all of those books. But this seems like a more complete list.

Speaking of which, apparently Marvel is putting some of its older comics online, available by some kind of subscription service.

Joe Quesada speaks about it to MySpace and also www.comicbookresources.com

DC has been planning to release the birst volumes of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman on a $300 DVD for some time. Each title would be its own $300 DVD, just to clarify.

With the advent of the internet, with all of its tubes and monkeys, it is a logical choice to move from paper and ink to bits and bytes. Most comics are done in Illustrator and the like before going to the press.

Okay....so I've followed the links and I was wondering if the advanced set Judges and Players book are all I need to get started or do I need the basic campaign and battle books?

These don't look like the ones I read the first time around many moons ago.

Actually, if you go to www.classicmarvel.com you'll find ALL the books under the menu. Click on "Other_Stuff" then "Downloads"

marvelrpg.net is missing books, www.classicmarvel.com has all of them.

To get started, I suggest using the revised 1991 Basic set to start. (There are two basic sets. The first 1984 set then the revised 1991 set.) After you get comfortable with the rules, then you can add rules from the 1986 advanced set.

Hey DA, you want my house rules on this game to help you get started? It covers a LOT of the issues faced in when dealing with rules lawyers who want to rape this system.

I am glad that I saw this. The classic marvel site is not up, though.

I am currently in the process of printing the eight volumes of the character encyclopedia to replace my original copies that are falling apart.

This remains my favorite rpg ever. I am so glad that I am getting double-sided copies to put in the three volumes of 5 inch binders. It's like Christmas without the festivities...

Let's talk. I have all the original except the UPB and some of the compendiums. I run a local Marvel RPG and it would be great to hook up with other fans like myself. Heavily thinking about a PBEM or forming one here. Send me a private message. We'll talk.

I think it still rocks. Once a month I run a Marvel game for my daughter and some of her friends.
and yeah that is the most complete list I have found myself

man, finding this is making me rethink about switching systems. (currently use Marvel Universe) Too bad wizards is reluctant to pay licensing fees outside of inhouse properties.
