I've tried it and I wasn't as happy with that platform as I was with KloOge.
anyone playing on Open RPG i just downloaded it today and im super excited to get into a campaign??
I've tried it and I wasn't as happy with that platform as I was with KloOge.
All I need is a chat room with dice rolling macro's, and maybe an instant messenger to "pass notes".
Any luck on adding that in, Farcaster?
hey farcaster ill post this in the suggestion box but maybe you should start up an online table top gaming sub forum... ill gladly attempt to moderate it.. i have learned open rpg fairly well and once i get my hands on an actual Klooge game im sure i can figure it out..
I tried both OpenRPG and MapTool from rptools.net
For the game I run I chose MapTool because it was easier to learn to use, and waaaaay easier to make dungeons. Its not as versatile as OpenRPG as far as scripting and customizable GUIs for character sheets and all that, but the map interface itself is pretty solid in comparison.
I think OpenRPG can give you a better gaming experience overall, but its significantly more effort for the DM to set it all up. I wanted quick and easy.
Haven't tried KloOge at all.
KloOge rawks... problem is, it's for 3e. There is a 1st Edition AD&D set for it, but not one for 2nd Edition. I'd consider creating an adaptive set for it, but not sure on how huge the learning curve is for making one (I've played with KloOge, and love the setup, but dread learning new systems for online gaming)...
Indeed well im waiting for Farcaster to get back to me and am hoping to start a subgroup for online gaming... It wont be limited to just open rpg or klooge i hope to cover everything from WoW to traditional tabletops that way if you want friends to play your MMO's with you could come here and group up.. maybe even make a clan...
