Ok to start the new forum off i decided to ask anyone if they ever thought of adding new ability scores to there games. This question can be applied to other games as well. But my main focus of course is for the RCR rules.

As for me i've been thinking of adding 2 new ability scores or one i'm not sure yet but they are accuracy ranged and accuracy melee or just plain accuracy. This will take strength and dex bonuses to hit away and putting them into a new ability.Strength will still effect melee damage and dex will effect defense.Just accuracy will effect how accurate your to hit is.

So has anyone else ever done something like this or have any ideas of there own.Well free and talk about it.

I've often added an Appearence stat to DnD as I don't feel Charisma does a good job of handling both aspects. I mean, you can have a person who is majorly beautiful/handsome and they can be a real jerk personalitywise, so how would you model that with just Charisma alone. The opposite is also true, great personality, but ugly as sin, and one stat just won't display that either.

That's really the only extra stat I've added to any games. You just have to be careful whenever you modify a game system that whatever you add doesn't unbalance the game!

I like the addition of Appearance, thats good.

I would also think that just accuracy would be sufficient. But I can understand wanting to apply it to both melee and ranged attacks as separate abilities.
