Why do you need a program?
im looking to learn the awesomeness that is sig creation. does anyone have good advice on what programs work best or maybe even a "sigs for dummies" guide or something.
Why do you need a program?
Obviously you need Photoshop to make a forum signature......
Google forum signature tutorials and you will find a ton of great things like what Ronny linked to.
Huh, so I did mine wrong then? Weird.
We'll have to go to the officials for a replay but I'm going to say yes!!!
Of course you didn't do it wrong, but I think he was referring to a signature like the one Ronny linked to.
If its just an image he wants to link to like yours then hopefully he can clarify so we can all jump on him with the proper HTML code to use.
no i meant a sig(not that im good with html anyway) i have one but it really doesnt fit in here i wanted to update it and make one for here. the links that were dropped helped a ton i just need to find photoshop or something to use seems everyone i know had something different. and buying a copy is insanely expensive.
i don't know for sure >.> <.< but word on the street is that like theres this program called bittorrent >.> <.< and like you can download stuff >.> <.< for like free but i didn't tell you that cuz like i don'ts want to go to jail they would pass me around like currency in there....
Chances are if you don't have photoshop it isn't something that is going to be too useful to you anyway. Photoshop isn't exactly newbie friendly. There are tons of free signature creators online as well as programs you can download.
Usually depends on the forum. I've seen countless signatures but few I would consider pretty to look at.
Actually, if the forum allows for a nice sized sig, at least in my opinion, I use the forum's sig function. If it doesn't, I create a Word doc that contains the code and copy needed for my personal sig.
So, if I'm using the forum sig function, I just make a normal post, otherwise, when I've finished typing my post, I open the Word doc, copy and paste it's contents into the post and then submit the post.
Either way, it looks like my sig was added to the thread.
Oh, and the way I get that copy for my Word doc, I just experiment with whatever special codes that the forum uses in a thread, without actually posting the thread and once I understand how the code works for that particular forum, I finalize what I'm going to use and then save it to the Word doc.
When I type I just type in BBCode. I really need to get a graphical sig together though. Something that screams pen and paper. Or something that gets your attention enough that you want to check out the website. I'd donate blood to this website if it needed lol.
