Now for a bit of the story to entice you....
It was the smell that woke you first. As you shake your head to regain your other senses, you realize that they seem to be failing you. You feel strips of cold on your wrists and ankles and your neck. Could they be metal perhaps? Then with fear clenching your heart you realize you do not remember how you got here. All you can seem to remember is your name. Is that your name? Then you see them. Below you several dots of green seem to floating in the darkness. As you peer closer, you then make out that they are eyes of...something. Then your ears remember thier function. You can hear creaking and moaning..could that be wood? Your sense of touch fully returns at last, now you can not only feel the metal but by they way it keeps biting into your arms you can tell that you are moving. All at once the weight of your situation drags upon you and before those damnable eyes get any closer a light appears in front of you. Below you see the forms of the green eyed creatures clearly, if briefly. They appear to be wolves..of shadow? As the light banishes them you can see the hungry looks on thier faces..waiting and wanting. The bands snap apart and you hit the floor quickly regreting how your sense of pain was not one of the slower ones to return. You look up into a cruel grey light, as you step out the chamber. You quickly realize that it was a wagon you were in. As you look around the morning light now being fully blocked by the grey foreboding clouds in the sky. You see several other carts to either side filled with people. All clothed in the grey tabard, (and not much else) That you are wearing. Before you could question where you got such a shamefull garb, your mind finally registers the enormous tower in front of you. Its grey stones match that of the clouds above it and had made it hard to see against the backdrop of the sky. You suddenly smell salt and in the distance you hear..waves crashing? Before you could contemplate what all of this means a very unkempt man approaches the crowd. "Hello everyone, welcome to Purgatory, your residence for the rest of your miserable lives!" As the man laughs like the pig he looks to be. "I think its time you met the Warden!"
A bit of a warning to any of those brave enough to take on this campaign.
This is a EXTREMELY HARD campaign. I would only like experienced players to join and I hope they learn to work together quickly. Being a power gamer is allowed however your roleplaying had better match your "numbers". This is not a one man show, In the eleven years i have written edited and re-edited this campaign not a single group has even made it halfway. I am a fair but strict DM. The only thing i cant stand is when people dont take the game seriously. All i wish is for some of your valuable time, I promise you wont be disappointed.
