Young Frankenstein and Life of Brian.

I'm hoping that The Good, The Band and The Ugly and Doctor Strangelove will make the rounds on the movie channels again soon. They're about due.

    The White Zombie.

Haven't seen a "zombies via voodoo" film in a very very very long time.
Now that I think about it, didn't sprinkling salt on reanimated corpses destroy them once upon a time?

Total Recall. Hadn't seen it since it came out. Forgot how good it was.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I found it to be my favorite in the franchise next to the first one. I wish the Indiana Jones sequels were more like this movie. I understand it's quite different from the novel that "suggested" it, but Tim Powers is one of my favorite authors so I'll look forward to reading that over the summer.

    Agreed. It was surprisingly good.

    I'm currently watching Tudors, again.

Kung Fu Panda 2 and Hangover 2 on the long weekend.

I think I would give the nod to the Panda.

Still looking to see On Stranger Tides.

The Green Hornet. It was surprisingly good. Bruce Lee would have got a laugh if he were here today to watch it.

Monsters vs. Aliens, which had the awesome Dr. Cockroach. Super fun film, with pop culture references galore.
    The
Iron Giant, by a pre-Pixar Brad Bird; fantastic film, with a non-human character that's all-too human.
And the American Astro Boy. I wanted to like it, but meh, it was missing something.

Saw the new X-Men yesterday. It wasn't bad. Later today will be the Little Fockers, according to Netflix.

Mrs. Gnombient and I recently watched the sci-fi adventure movie Hunter Prey and were thoroughly entertained; the movie screams for a sequel and we both hope it happens.
