That is nice. I was looking to see if maybe I would be able to use it for a Dark Elf underground city, but don't think it will work.
A map to look over. A medieval city (it started as Waterdeep) that out grew the walls. Scale is 5 feet to one pixel.

Lots of that water thing happening there. The part inside the walls might work.

That could be possible. I was more thinking of something that had been carved out of the stone by dwarves. This is for my "Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth" game.
What program did you use?
I only have one real complaint... why the grid pattern? The grid pattern for land-ownership didn't kick in until VERY recently (as far as history runs).
Other than that, it's groovy!
On Earth, in the US. This is neither. The program is GIMP, run on openSUSE Linux 11.
The city represents several layers of development from the Ancient walled city on the plateau to the gridded "modern" city at its feet. Even that is undergoing a redevelopment. The Higgly piggly blocks on the grid are the older ones, they are being pushed out by newer development behind it.
Part of the deal is the Erindril farm on the edge of the city. Elven owned and in the same family for over 1000 years they are not being moved. As a result if you develop in the "Old City" you have to redevelop.
Now there is the north City or New City across the river. as the key describes " All gleaming glass and steel. It is North across the river. That is where the money flows, the cops have better guns and the Corporations keep the order. It is the land of poisoned milk and honey. The Golden Rule is the only rule and those with the gold make the rules"
For more maps here is the game page on my website. More maps,. player key and rules.

HOW did you get Gimp to let you make the oddly-rotated blocks that are the houses in downtown? Are they separate layers that were free-handed and then rotated as an entire layer? Me loves me some Gimp, but I can't figure out how to do a large-scale bit of "higgly-piggly" without butt-loads of time doing it all free-hand.
Buttloads of time doing it more or less freehand. But I have buttloads of time. It started as a letter size map of waterdeep scanned at 300 DPI. I then started cleaning up a very messy map. You are looking at well over 100 hours of cat vacuuming.
One could do it as separate layers and rotate them, I've done that. In the suburbs there are not that many different blocks. A good deal of that was done cut and paste. But yes, all the building were drawn freehand.
