Sounds a lot like Master Blaster from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Two men enter, one man leaves.... THUNDERDOME!
I couldn't resist.
I was thinking of making a goblin, or more traditional a gnome, which is going to ride, leaned back in a light brown leather seat, mounted on a large sized warforge.. A litle guy who is “drunk on being a big badass”.
My character obvious needs ranks in craft/profession to make modifications, (and “heal” checks), on his great big mount of menace.
But how to be the best master of such an heavy intimidating (magi)mechanical monster?..
and is there a way to use a warforged as a mount, and by that using the mounted combat fat

lafing. yaerh! had forgotten that film..
but i kind of want to have something a litle more biker like. A litle egomaniac on a big shiny roaring harley
You might consider going with a gnome paladin of freedom (Dragon Magazine thing, just replace "lawful" with "chaotic" wherever listed and there you go), and giving your special mount the "Effigy" subtype (Complete Arcane). That might give the biker feel, as well as the arrogent feel you were going for.
gnome paladin of fredom, with an efigy mount.
thats... a lot faster than a warforged!
Make the warforged a wicked cohort. Cohorts keep getting better!
Make sure your cohort has Combat Expertise and Improved Combat Expertise (Complete Warrior), then get him the Allied Defense feat (Shining South). Oh, and a spiked chain would be good for the AoO and long reach, so that he can carry (or stay right next to) you at all times.
Now, every time he uses Combat Expertise, he can dump his full BAB into it, and not only does he get it as a dodge bonus to his AC, your character gets it as a dodge bonus to AC as well.
If you were an enchanter, you could really beef up suggestion and domination magics. You could have all sorts of 'mounts' at your will.
P.S. I rule Barter Town!
