Lol I just typed a couple paragraphs explaining about my character and what I need but that's not needed ha ha.
Basically I'm looking for all the rules on modifying and upgrading a baseline/prototype set of Heavy Armor. In the words of my GM "Different books have different things that you can do. I abused it a few times to create villans so do what you want with it (refering to the Heavy Armor he invented for me +7 to ref def +7 fort +1 max dex)".

So I've spent several hours looking through the wonderfully unindexed books and found like 2 things.
    Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions?

Concerning the unindexing, it is 99.8% fixed with the Omegadex 1.9, linked in several places on this board.

Cool I'll have to look that up. That is a great resource.

Yes the index is AMAZING! You can start with manufacture templates in the KotOR book and move on to a full upgrade and modification system in Scum & Villainy!

You'll need someone with Tech Specialist and Superior Tech Specialist feats though. SotG and S&V respectably.
"I'm afraid it is you who are mistaken. About a great, many things."

"It is not the rules that make or break a game, it's the GM and the players."

Yes it is! Thanks to that and the link to the WoTC message boards (found some useful info there too) I've nearly completed it. I say nearly because I'm still tossing up a couple ideas.

There are some great talents in the Soldier - Armor Specialist talent tree.

Armor Mastery: increases your armor’s max dex by 1.

Second Skin: increases your armor bonus to Ref and Fort by +1.

Juggernaut: allows you to move your full speed (instead of reduced speed) when wearing heavy armor.

Improved Armored Defense: When calculating your Reflex Defense, you may add either your heroic level plus one-half your armor bonus (rounded down) or your armor bonus, whichever is higher. Armor bonus includes the extra bonuses from Second Skin and Tech Specialist / Superior Tech (protective armor)

Armored Mandalorian (Elite Trooper - Mandalorian Warrior talent): Add your armor’s Fort bonus as an equipment bonus to your elite trooper DR (with a maximum bonus equal to your base elite trooper DR). Additionally, if a lightsaber does not ignore the DR of the armor you are wearing (such as cortosis weave armor), a lightsaber does not ignore any of your damage reduction. You must be proficient with the armor you are wearing to benefit from this talent.

For accessories, don’t forget to get a helmet package (+2 perception + low light vision). You can Shadowskin Reflec (+10 Stealth). Shockweb is cool, when you’re hit with melee, grab, or grapple, attacker takes 1d6 electrical and 2d6 electrical stun damage. Add Cortosis Weave or Phrik alloy to gain DR vs lightsabers.

By the way, if you need an index for all things Saga, you can download the Saga Index & Summaries.

Yeah I chose the helmet package along with internal generator, powered exoskeleton, and jump servos (to offset the move penalty in rough terrain, in heavy armor I'd get 2 squares per move action lol). I didn't take most of the armor talents since Ref Def isn't the focus of this character. He is an Imperial Knight so I took the Armor Augmentation 1&2 which give huge bonuses to Dmg Thres and DR (with the DR 10 talent I'll have DR 28). The movement issue is a big concern but I can't work in the Armor Mastery (from the Imperial Knights TT) and Juggernaut in, but with Surge, charge, and his Dual Phase lightsaber it offsets the problem a little.

I know you probably think I'm nuts for this build but it is going to be nasty with some of our house rules. Mainly the talent tree we made that has a talent that rewards Str builds (to hopefully entice less Ataru users).
