Does anyone know of any widgets or tools that allow you to make custom cards for miniatures?

I've gotten used to the snazzy looking cards from the D&D mini's game, and I'd like to get something similar for my Warlord and Song of Blades warbands. I've got their information in a spreadsheet that prints them into drab black and white cards already. I suppose I could find a card template to use as the background, but a tool doing it for me would be easier

I really can't remember the site, but there is a forum topic on this site that links to a place to make nice looking cards. Like I said though, I can't remember what to search for on this site (maybe go to campaign tools), but there are sites out there.

You might also take a look at the Magic Set Editor. While it is intended for collectible card games it can be easily modified and it allows for custom pictures. Anyway, just a thought. at Yukon. It also has a template for creating you own 4e cards if you are interested. http://magicseteditor.sourceforge.net/

It's as if there are people who play RPGs that don't have computers or something. Seriously, people need to upgrade to 1994 already. - - -TheRedRobedWizard

That magic set editor looks pretty good. The templates don't always translate well into war band cards, but it gives you something pretty solid to work with.

is a rather interesting card maker. Extraordinarily simple. Unfortunately it is a bit specific to Magic the Gathering.

Software, I'm not a very good artist so I need something to help me create a nice looking layout for them. Having bland little cut out spreadsheets as unit reference worked, but the cards you get with D&D minis or War Machine was great.

I found this site http://godeckyourself.com/ to have a pretty decent selection of card templates to build from. Then its just a matter of printing the cards on some card stock prior to playing.
