The name explains it. Personallly, I think controllers are the sh*t, expecially wizards. My brother likes leaders, and my friends have different opinions. So what do you think is the most fun class?

Really depends on your play style. You will lean to one particular role based on what style you play. And now that they have more options in leaders and controllers, you can find basically any kind of power source that fits your fancy.

For me, I prefer certain classes for certain roles (i.e. I prefer a warlord over a cleric). My favorite is actually hybrid because then I get to redefine my PC. I currently play a hafling rogue/warlord hybrid that I am having fun with.

    Favorite character

Well the campaign setting, players present, GM style and mood, and my mood, and the winds of fate all contrive to make the right character but ...

My favorite so far is a gish warlock build that multiclasses into barbarian and weilds a greataxe. Half-elf of course. To each their own.

I played the eladrin monk character at the D&D Game Day this last weekend and really found it to be pretty fun. During the second encounter, I was able to sneak into the cave and snap the neck of one the minions before we rolled for initiative, then after couple of rounds (the first round, I was immediately charge by the gith spearhead and got taken down from full health to 9 HP and knocked prone), was able to get back up, combine the free attack action, fey step, and the daily (which let me shift my speed and all enemies I was adjacent to during that shift got attacked for 3d8+5 damage), allowing me to kill two other monsters in one turn. That was pretty sweet. I may have to make one of those characters for myself.

I really do love monks. Spmething about that combination of spiritualism combined with the most balls out, insane kung-fu gets me everytime!

Wizards! They have a spell for EVERYTHING. Yes, even spells for annihilating monks!
