With multiple distinct chat games, it can be inconvenient and confusing to have to search various threads and determine which, if any, game is going to be run on a given weekend. I'm going to try and see if combining announcements into a single scheduling thread proves helpful.

The following schedule is tentative, and reflects what I consider to be the likeliest possibilities. If sufficient players confirm for a session, and I feel confident I will be able to run at that time, I will mark the entry in bold. If significant scheduling conflicts occur, I will alter the schedule as needed. I will try to give 48 hours notice if a session is to be canceled, more if requested. Chat sessions do not necessarily have to be on the weekends, but the best confluence of schedules seems to occur on that day.

Completed Schedule (cleared out March 24th)
    • Sunday, March 23rd: Memories Remain "Time of Torment" - Long life to the King, let all those be glad who breathe in the light of the sky! For below all is fearful, of moment sad; let not man to tempt, the immortals e'er try, let him never desire the thing to see that with terror and night they veil graciously. (from The Diver, 1797, by Friedrich Schiller)
    • Saturday, March 29th: Far Eastern Wonderland "The First Wondrous Legend" - There is a small shrine in a far-away country where many unnatural events occur.
    • Sunday, April 6th: Memories Remain "Time of Torment" - For the listener, who listens in the snow, and, nothing himself, beholds nothing that is not there and the nothing that is. (from The Snow Man, 1921, by Wallace Stevens)
    • Saturday, April 12th : Far Eastern Wonderland "The First Wondrous Legend" - Some claim it is because this shrine lies on the border between Earth and Hell.
    • Saturday, April 26th : Far Eastern Wonderland "The First Wondrous Legend" - Long ago, the greatest spiritual practitioners of the land set a seal on this place at the cost of their own lives to banish the numerous apparitions and demons, but countless years later, the power of the seal is fading.
    • Sunday, May 4th: Memories Remain "Time of Torment"
    • Saturday, May 10th : Far Eastern Wonderland "The First Wondrous Legend"
    • Sunday, May 18th: Memories Remain "Time of Torment"
    • Saturday, May 24th : Far Eastern Wonderland "The First Wondrous Legend"

    • Sunday, June 15th: Memories Remain "Time of Torment" - session abandoned
    • Saturday, June 21st : Far Eastern Wonderland "The First Wondrous Legend" - The guardian of the border in the realm of Makai is known only by her title of Yuugen Magan, the Recondite Demon Eyes.
    • Sunday, July 13th: Memories Remain "Time of Torment" - Forced to make a stand between two worlds, the party catches a glimpse of the horror that lurks there.
    • Saturday, June 19th : Far Eastern Wonderland "The First Wondrous Legend" - Devils in the land of Makai bear a resemblance to the most powerful and bloodthirsty noble apparitions of Gensoukyou, one which is hard to be dismissed as coincidental.
    • Sunday, July 27th: Memories Remain "Time of Torment" - It might be the most important word in the world. That says the way is open. That throws it right back on a man. (from East of Eden, 1952, by John Steinbeck)

As my schedule stands right now, I will be able to participate in the game on 10-July, but won't be able to make it for the remainder of the month. I don't know if that changes your plans, or whether it means you'll need to try to find additional players for the games, but I wanted to let you know. I'm hopeful that August will be slightly less hectic.

Thank you both for your input. I will adjust the schedule accordingly, and edit post #1.

The Autumn Knight game requires players, but I simply have not had the time to pursue that yet. Acquiring players for that adventure will receive my focus this month, beginning Tuesday. If I get the necessary players (and their characters) early, I will move the game up accordingly, to either July 17th or July 24th, as appropriate.

It's the proper name for the campaign set on the island of Istao. You played in it last year with your character Dax.

oh right... I assumed that was the istao mission adventure stuff. With such a sporadic play schedule for autumn knight and the fact I am no longer running a game of my own, is there a spot open in the other games??? They play roughly the same time, yes???

There are spots open for the Istao Mission Adventure and I still have your character sheets for Dax and Ion.

Normally there would be spots open for the Order of the Green Lion but that one session is an exception; I just want to finish what was started in an earlier session. Order of the Green Lion games can occur on very short notice, though, so if you want to make a character for it "just for fun" then you could have someone ready to go in case a game happens and you're free.

There are spots open for Romance of a Fallen Country, but I don't know if you want to commit to an equally sporadic, long-term game. In any case, that one's going to be a ways down the road.

The next Order of the Green Lion game is scheduled for July 24th, starting at 3:30 pm PDT. Due to the circumstances of the last session, it is regrettably only open to those players who played the first "Revolt in Eyth" installment.

If there is agreement from all the players by no later than July 14th, I am willing to move this gaming session up to July 17th so that I free up this month's schedule a little. I would also like confirmation that you are still committed to this game by no later than July 17th. If there is significant attrition, I will consider moving on to the next encounter with a differently-composed party.

    Updating to MapTool 1.3.b70

The current MapTool version we use it getting a little old. Since there's probably some time before the next chat session, I would like to update to MapTool 1.3.b70

I think this will be a fairly straightforward upgrade. Please do so, and post if there are any difficulties encountered.

Be aware that b70 is the development version; the current stable version is b66. I have no particular issue using either one, just wanted you to be aware. For what it's worth, b70 launched fine on my machine, and loaded the last Istao campaign file just fine.

Thanks for the warning. We'll live a little dangerously, this time.

Are you free this Saturday? Let me change that to a general question. Who among the people interested in playing an Order of the Green Lion game is free this Saturday?

If you are free, but haven't yet sent me a character, I'll need one by tomorrow. Don't worry about getting everything perfect; you aren't going to be stuck with it.

I was thinking of skipping this weekend, but if there's some coherent interest, I'll run something.
