P&PG public Recruitment Flyer Ideas.

Heya Folks.
Im putting together a Flyer to be printed/reproduced by all of us here, with the intent of printing off a few copies, and dropping them off at our local/regional Gaming shops, Bookstores, and other places we may be able to net a few or ( hopefully a bunch more) users to join us here at P&PG.

I have a template made up, but I would LOVE ! your input on what a few of the most redeeming qualities of our community are. I have room for 5 or 6 bulletpoints of info.

Well not entirely accurate because I'm the only game designer I know of that hangs out here and in chat....

Not a problem. Rich, I am sure that quite alot of game designers, or publicists check in from time to time, just to see what the general reactions/comments on their games are. It would almost be stupid not to... I will keep this in mind if I can get a couple more of said to back it up!!!

I have so far,:

-Over 11 Thousand registered Users, and growing almost daily.
-Active Forums , with blogs, PbP threads ... add here...
-Worldwide Player Registry , with area maps, and game finder tools
-Online Chat- for chat, or online play
-News Bots for all the latest Game release and article updates.

I think the player registry and the sheer number of people here are the biggest selling points.

Sweet, we should go with what we got so far then... But, Farcaster? give us our mission statement, since we are glowing products of Your! baby, P&PG. And then i will set it up and zip you a copy.

I would have to disagree with the d20 since PPG is open to all systems not just D&D/d20. If the d20 is used it would give the impression that PPG is D&D/d20 only forum. If dice are to be used it should be all of the common ones to prevent the appearance that this is a D&D/d20 only site.

I can see that too, however D20 is the most common. I will try to find a stick drawing , per se- like the d20's, of a full set of polyhedral's , and see what I can do.

Unless you are going to send these out world wide, I would stay local. Joining this group is not such a big deal just because there are 11,000 people worldwide. Joining this group because there are 175 people within 25 mile of me is a big deal.

Just pointing out the cpabilities.

I , for instance, only show 3 or so players within 75 miles, 1 i signed up from my home group, and 2 others don't answer/live there anymore.

It will be different for everyone, so saying worldwide, should mean finding something where ever you are. the more we get here, the better it will get.

Actually bud, the d6 is the most common since the vast majority of games, regardless of type, use it. Board games, gambling games, wargames, and role playing games the majority of those games use a d6.

You are right.

The majority of RPG's i have played have been d20 or percentile dice, and RPG'ers of almost any Genre will see a d20 and think of rpg's , tho, I beleive.

I can try to add d6's , and d20's , or a poly set, or just leave them out altogether. Which sounds mighty fine.. lol
