I am not familiar with the specifics of shadowrun, but I have rp'ed over thirty years and am willing to give it a shot. My e-mail should be listed. Give me a shout, please.

Shadowrun takes place in the future of 2060 (third edition) or 2070 (fourth edition). It's a dark world where big Mega-corps rule, and the police have been privatized. On the streets, in the shadows, are where runners do the dirty work that needs done. If a corp (or any organization with the right amount of cred) needs a job done, they'll send a 'Mr. Johnson' to gather a team of shadowrunners to do the job. They may be stealing trade secrets from another corp, destroying research data, extracting a top scientist working for one corp in order to deliver them to another corp.

It's really a great game. It's sometimes known as a cross-over game as the game has what it calls metahumans. Humans that have goblinized into orcs or trolls. Dwarves and elves also exist in this time. Character's are often heavily 'cybered' in that they have augmented vision, hearing, data jacks to link hardware directly to the cerebral cortex, wired reflexes, bone lacing, you name it.

I'd could be up for a Wednesday or Thursday game if you're up for letting a Shadowrun noob in. I've never played but I could learn since I've only heard good things about Shadowrun. Learning new systems = fun.
