Online Game
(Maptool) |
Hello all. I'm looking to run my first time as a DM. I am looking to run Scales of War to get my feet wet with being a DM and to gather experience. I do not have a date or time set, but the game can be run anytime from Monday to Saturday at just about anytime of the day as I'm at home. i will be using Maptools to run the program and haven't decided it i'm going to use a voice chat program or not as I would be taking care of my 2 young children at the time. For anyone interested, please reply to this thread with dates and times that work best for you and when I have at least 4 players (possibly more) that have a time that works for anyone we will begin. Any other questions, feel free to PM or reply to this thread and I will be able to respond in a pretty quick manner.

GRRR, got rid of my thing. Try to reproduce my post.
I don't have a microphone and I don't plan on buying one. Also, I can only play on Sat (all day though). But I would like to express interest in the game.
I have used maptools and have played/DMed 4e, so familiar with everything.
my questions for you:
what material is allowed/unallowed? What is starting level?
Starting level will be at 1. There are no restrictions as I either have .pdf, hard copy or my D&D Insider subscription to get access to any info I may not have.
Here's the skinny. I have expressed interest in a chat game run by the DM who runs my PBP game (different game from pbp, though). However, it has been about 2 months and it still hasn't officially begun.
There have been recent developments, but still no official play time. I feel somewhat obligated to it, but at this point, it depends on which game has an official play time first as to what takes priority.
However, I am thinking that one will probably be sat night, so for this game, I will most likely be available for sat day.
As for character, was thinking a human artificer. As for concept/background, I figured I'd wait until I know more about the game so it integrates a bit smoother.
That's fine. I'm still waiting for another 2-4 players as we only have 2 right now. Then we will get something up and running.
I'd be interested in joining. I can do either Friday or Saturday evenings (EST). I'd prefer not using voice chat, as it tends to have moments where everyone tries talking at once, and that drives me right up a wall.![]()
That's fine about the voice chat as I have my little kids I take care of all the time. As for the day, that is still sort of up in the air.
@adam, I put a plug in for this game on an introductions topic:

Maybe send him a PM to make him feel welcome.
I would be interested. But keep in mind that I am completely new to 4e.The last time I played P&P was years ago with the basic rules and just a little on the AD&D rules. I've downloaded MapTool (haven't figured out how to use it yet).
I work 12 hour shift on weekends so I am available Mon - Thur 7:00am - noon. My evenings during the weekdays are reserved for spending time with my family, though it could be possible I can be on late at night when the kids are in bed.
And possibly on Sundays 9:00pm or later.
(Eastern US time)
Hello! I'll express interest in playing. Mon and Tuesday I'm available anytime. Thursday and Friday I'll be at work, but available to play.
Quasi-experienced player here. I can play any day or time that's not Sunday.
It is starting to look like Saturdays will not work for me. So I am leaning towards probably on Monday.
