Wow! One week downtime! That's impressive.
I look forward to seeing what their new forum platform looks like.

It's about time... I've never much cared for their current layout... and don't get me started on the failed gleemax.
They'll have to do a lot to impress me. I like it here because the layout is clean, organized... not overly crowded.... and here it's mostly neutral territory when it comes to games and opinions.
Even if WOTC's new forum ends up being great.. the only thing to talk about is WOTC stuff and not all of your gaming needs.
Pen&Papergames =and everyone else =
PS. I love the news bot.
I do not have high hopes for this. I hope they take some style from this place. I hate posting on the 4th section and spend the whole time fighting off 4th haters. Hopefully they organize the forums better.
Seems to be back up.
Yes, it is and I'm in it now. My initial impression is that I think it has a lot of potential. It's beta right now obviously, but there are more options than ever before and it's more customizable to your liking. You can upload your own photo or pick an avatar. There are themes to choose from for your background, hopefully they will add more. I haven't gone through every option yet. I noticed that they've added a WIKI area. I've only been in it for about 5 or 10 minutes so far. I may post some more thoughts later but so far I think it is a sizeable improvement but only time will tell.
It will take awhile to get used to it but I hope it will work. I do think it is kind of ugly looking though. It says it is the beta so we will see. I do like how it shows who is a D&Di subscriber but I would like a section to explain some of the icons.
