You add an expansion to a game, especially one that people get so involved in, or change it at all, and of course there will be people on both sides of the fence.
Personally, I loved playing back in classic WoW, too, and although I didn't much care for the Burning Crusade expansion, Lich King was a fantastic addition and Cataclysm looks very, very promising.

WotLK is 1000x better than vanilla WoW IMO.
The good old days of buffing 40-man raids with 5-minute individual buffs, enhancement shamans that did nothing but poop totem and then autoattack only pushing one button every six seconds, and more boring tedious crap.Not so much.
