I've picked up both the Campaign Setting and Classic Monsters Revisited and am currently plotting a campaign while hunting for a new group to play with.

It doesn't have the grim and grit of WFRP but it has the benefit of hopefully being more enticing for players because of it's relation to 3.5.

Personally I love what they've done with the world. It's inspiring without being daunting. There's plenty of detail in all the right places while leaving the right amount of room for GM creativity.

I love Forgotten Realms but it always felt like a party would be following in the footsteps of great heroes before them. While that's a cool notion in the right context, I do prefer a world where the players can be the heroes paving the way.

I honestly can't wait for the setting to come out. I have been following it's creation since WOTC took back the Dragon and Dungeon magazine titles and Paizo didn't know what they were going to do with the company. I picked up the campaign setting and have preordered the Pathfinder rules. I have been looking for a group to play with, but work and the family and such things have been taking most of my time.

I really do like what they've done with the rules and I think the campaign world pays homage to the old-time type worlds (Greyhawk, Blackmoor, Ravenloft, etc) blending it with different play-styles and a great pantheon. The flavour they've created in the short time that they've worked on it excites me to think of what is possible with the world.

So..I suppose the short answer is yes...I am gearing up for the release.

I've bought most everything that Paizo has... the adventure paths, society scenarios, companions (osirion, taldor, qadira), Beta PDf, bonus monsters, campaign setting, gazeteer, gods & magic, etc, etc, etc...

currently running a modified Legacy of Fire campaign...

I have Pathfinder on order through Amazon.

I'm not yet sure if I will use the entirety of the book or just use a few tweaks from it for my house-rule system. time will tell.

That's cool. Everything seems to easily plug into an existing DnD 3.5 game anyway. For example, even if I wasn't using Pathfinder I'd definitely use the new version of the monk class.

What I'm using has a most casual relationship to D&D3, but I support the idea of Pathfinder. The legacy of "real" D&D needs to be maintained.
