I'd like to join in on the game. For character creation you'd said to use a standard elite array?
Do you mean just one of the standard arrays or custom 22 point build from the PHB1?
This is a 4e D&D Conversion for 8th Level Characters. You may use standard elite array and any books currently out for PC creation. I recommend PC creation be from The DDI character generator if you have it. If not, all the information regarding your powers should be included (sp. if from dragon articles). You may also use backgrounds.
I recommend you either post or have link to the final character sheet for reference and create a background on your PC and whether he is a companion to the others or actually has family ties in Eylea.
Equipment should follow the DMG guidelines. one level 9 item, one level 8 item, one level 7 item and 2600 gold. Buy what you think you need. Buy a horse if you don't want to walk
This is more of a roleplaying experience though combat does play a part. Try to avoid powers that utilize movement of push, pull, or shifting unless your doing more than 3 squares. There is no grid being used in this adventure though flavor text is highly recommended. Feats that enhance skills and roleplay may be more suited.

Thanks for the interest.
You may use either method. Just no rolling of scores.
With the completed PC you can either post the link to the sheet, paste it here or attach. I recommend link, eps if you are using a online Character generator. The DDI is nice because it calculates all of your powers.
Since you are the first, you basically can play what you want--you are also the heir to the Esate in the story.
Is this game still open? Or should I just post a Character and see what happens?
I'd also be interested. I haven't gotten to play 4E as much as I'd like, so this'll be a good experiment if it takes off. My character will preferably be a long-lost family member who hasn't hand contact with any of his family for awhile. Being busy being a thief and all.
Character sheet is attached, it should be correct. Had to do most of it manual, since DDI isn't very free.
EDIT: Updated with magic items.

Yes, I just started. Post a PC and a background and we can get started.

I downloaded it when it was free, sorry. The only you miss out is updates on the stuff used.
Your PC is fine, though you she start with one level 9 magic item, one level 8 magic item and one level 7 magic item plus 2,600 gold.

The game has started in the game thread, Ravi and Silt are noted in the game. They may take moves. Anyone else who post characters are amongst the party. Good luck.
Just a quick toss up of the basics for now. Full sheet will be posted when the DDI builder stops glitching on me.

============
It is good to go. Your PC is already with the group.
I heard about this game from Vodka. Are you all in need of some healy cleric goodness?
I believe Typhon is creating a Cleric as well if that's any bearing on your class choice.

I don't remember much from 3.X, but in 4e cleric is one of many "leaders" which can heal. Although with the new Divine Power book, Clerics can become arguably the best healers.

Hello GM Wizard,
I was wondering if you'd be willing to accept a complete 4th ED noob (and mostly noob for the d20 system in general) in your game. I'd like to learn it properly and PbP seems to be a good start for that.
I'd probably want to play something relatively simple, warrior or rogue depending on what you need, and I have access to a computer all day long.
So, please shoot a PM my way if you'd be willing to take on a noob onboard and show him the ropes
Thanks.

Welcome Frederick. I don't know what the total number of players Wizarddog is looking for. If we've got room it's no problem to help you make a character. 4e is by far the easiest edition to learn and use.
Thanks for the offer, Dragon, I will probably take you up on that, if I get in.

Always looking for something exciting.
