While I was reading your spell, the first thing that popped into my head was thinking of all the Cut-Off ers becoming dead-ees.
Community SupporterI sometimes daydream about spells that I would create for use in the modern world if I truly had the power. Recently, while driving along the highway, some jerk cut me off. It was at that time that I came up with an idea for a spell I call disable vehicle. When cast the spell would turn the gears in any vehicle transmission into green jell-o. I think I would get quite a lot of use out of this spell if I had it.
Of course I can think of many others. But I'd like to hear other ideas for spells in the modern world. Let's be creative here (Of course, we'd all like the win lottery spell - but that's not being very creative.).![]()

Drink lad. Drink to the past and drink to the morrow's reckoning.
Becoming a hero is simple. Do something dumb enough to be brave yet lucky enough to survive.

If magic were real, I'd be sitting there all day playing with fire magic, I know it... heck, I'd be amused just turning it on and off like a lighter, with a snap...
"Fire... No fire... Fire... No fire... Fire... No fire..."
Though a Stop Time spell would be awesome... think about it, full on naps at work! Sign me up for that.
Fighter: "I can kill a guy in one turn."
Cleric: "I can kill a guy in half a turn."
Wizard: "I can kill a guy before my turn."
Bard: "I can get three idiots to kill guys for me."

Oh and also immortality. Both combined, I just realized, would be... weird. But I could always go back to tell myself not to become immortal should I ever regret it![]()
We played a game of Harn where one of the players had a youth spell, but the spell swapped time, so something or someone got older while the target of the spell got younger. Usually, he used a tree for whatever would age.
Me, I think being able to teleport, like in the movie Jumper would be a cool spell/ability.
Just last night my wife and I were talking about wanting teleportation, that one would be pretty high on my list.
Both my characters (actually their entire species) are able to teleport, so I kinda get that.
w00t.
edit: swapping age sounds nice. What if the thing you swapped age with died tho?

the power to punch things into non-existence at will ((turn on or off)) and I don't mean punch things and make it go }poof!{ I mean punch something and make it so it NEVER existed.
Teleportation (like from the movie, Jumper) would be very cool.
A more simple spell would be: Make available a parking spot nearest the entrance.
Great thread idea, Arkhemedes. 5-Star all the way.![]()

Once you know what the magician knows, it's not magick. It's a 'tool of Creation'. -Archmagus H.H.

My vote is for Teleportation. not having a 45min. walk to work would be awesome(of coarse so would a car). Also a cleaning spell would be nice.
Q: How many Call of Cthulhu players does it take to change a light bulb?
A: All of them, because you never, EVER split the party!
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can change, and the weaponry to make the difference.
You could kill two birds with one stone. And teleport dirt away.
Heal, cure disease, regeneration. It would be ever so wonderful to not hurt all the time.
