1984- I was 2 so I was pooping in diapers and sleeping a lot.

2009- At 27 still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, and where I fit into the grand scheme of life.

I spent most of '84 in my mom's tum. I decided to visit the rest of my family in December that year and they wouldn't let me go back.

in '34 I will be 50. I hope I will at least have made E3 by then. If not, I'll likely be teaching somewhere. Maybe even be bugging my kids about when I'll be having grandkids .

Just realized last night while driving around and Supertramp's "The Logical Song" came on the radio, that it was exactly 30 years ago this summer (when that song came out) that I had the best summer of my life (high school days) and it went off on a decidedly different tangent. Took me down memory lane a bit. Still don't know "who I am" though.

Will be 61, still working as Cplmac said .. no SS for our generation, but I'd like to be living in Sarasota on the beach (er, in a house on the beach ... better not jinx me) and have a big boat and be on it every weekend in the Gulf of Mexico fishing or just enjoying the peace.

Who when they realize they are actually doing all the work and you are reaping all the reward will stick a knife in your back and claim the throne. It just is not worth it.

And...you can't simply get someone that won't realize this because then they will not be smart enough to do all the work and the people will revolt and something wet and sticky will still happen to you.

Lose-lose circumstance. Better to not rule the world.
