Forbidden Planet: I've always said that this movie was destined for a remake, and it looks like they did it. Cool, very cool.
Ok, we have discussion about Star Trek and Wolverine, but what of the others? That thread will fade as it gets older but this one can be current forever.
So what movie have you just seen? Was it good, or a stinker?
Didn't get to see Star Trek yet, it is on my list of things to do. What I did get to see was Angels and Demons. Yes, it was a good film and I would recommend it to everyone, especially those who enjoyed the Da Vinci Code. Along the same line but different. Some good effects and the plot was good. Nice twist at the end, but it was the acting and directing that I liked the most.

Land of the Lost
Just so someone will know what I'm talking about, when I call someone else a Sleestak.
It's as if there are people who play RPGs that don't have computers or something. Seriously, people need to upgrade to 1994 already. - - -TheRedRobedWizard
HOOORAAAAH FOR MENTION OF SLEESTACK!!!!! I used to love Land Of The Lost when I was a kid!!! Plus I think Will Ferrel is a comedic genius, so I can't possibly believe those two things mixed together will be anything short of awesome!
Also someone mentioned Angels & Demons....Have you read the book? Does the movie stay true to it? The book was incredible

My wife read the book Angels and Demons, and then drug me to the movie. We both enjoyed it, but it was not true to the book (is any movie?). She read the other book, The Da Vinci Code and the movie was not literal either, but it was good. If you don't need the movie to be literal to the book, it will be worth your time. Hanks is a great actor and Opie is a great director.

I was pleasantly surprised, I was expecting a good movie, but it was even better than expected.
We also just watched:
Passengers (sucked, very slow but decent ending)
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (Not as good as I expected but still okay, will watch the next prequel)
Star Wars opened up a new world of making movies that I don't like ... prequels. We star making movies in the middle of the story and 20 years later jump to the beginning... can they not just start at the beginning like LotR and Harry Potter?
I went to see Monsters Vs. Aliens-it was a good cartoon, but a cartoon nonetheless.
Unusual these days that like Coraline, it had a female protagonist, which is something that some movie companies are leery of doing- one of the reasons given why the Wonder Woman movie was shelved.
you mention wonder woman and it sends my mind reeling....Man that show caused me to go through puberty early.
Wonder Woman still lingers in the further recesses of my mind.![]()

Well, the JLA movie might still be vaporware, but it's currently Wonder Woman's best shot at the big screen:

yea they keep having issues with the JLA movie though. Production, writing, casting, it'll be great when the movie comes out but they just seem to keep hitting snags
