Hello and welcome to the boards.
Hello all, I suck at these things...
Um, hey, I'm a pretty old player...but not dinosaur old ^-^ Been playing for...I beleive a solid two years. So, not that old...but it's still a good stretch of time I beleive. I mostly played 3.5 D&D games with some friends and I have to say, it was a blast! With 4.0 out, Ive been meaning to get back into the whole D&D thing, but I was always met with disappointment. So, I came here.
I'm a story writer generally. I like making a detailed history on my character, fleshing them out and then going out to hack away at baddies ^-^
So, Im looking for a good Campaign, one that lasts more than a day in 3.5 or 4.0. Not picky about either...also, I like friendly people who like to joke around and what-not, making the environment comfortable, since well...I'm like that.
Well, I'm ranting now so...thanks for listening and I hope some people will show me the light ^-^
GG to all,
November
EDIT: Oh and Ive never tried online RPing...but I can give it a shot.

Hey Novermber_OSL, welcome to the boards. I'm in Ft. Lauderdale and I'm looking for people to play either Exalted or the new World of Darkness (not LARP). If you're interested, e-mail me at truthofseeker@hotmail.com. Later!
Welcome to the boards. I am kind of new here myself. In my own opinion, if you wish to stay with v3.5, you may want to check out Paizo's Pathfinder system, which was being beta tested for a while but you can still download a free copy of the beta from Paizo's website. Pathfinder sort of fixes alot of problems people had with 3.5. Many people I have spoken to with about it say that it is like D&D v3.75. I like the beta version, the actual release is currently being pre-sold on the same website. Pathfinder (at least the beta) is reverse compatible with v3.5, all you truly need is the MM and the part of the DMG that deals with magic items. All other rules are covered in the Pathfinder rulebook itself which is a true tome, lots of pages. Anyway, I liked using Gary Gygax's Necropolis, I believe by Sword and Sorcery but do not hold me to that. Though technically not a campaign setting, it is a long adventure that a DM can center their campaigns around and preparing their characters for.
Hello and welcome. You are in luck that there are a few members running around somewhere here that are from Florida. I see there is one possible invite already.
