And as for "pink"; well the color is open for discussion.

I mean really people, black Macinotsh computer are almost as cool as the white ones that have those LED lights built into their white panels so they glow in the dark. HECK, those LED lights can even do power conservation depending on the drivers installed.

It was once asserted, in a game of trivial pursuit I was in that "Radio Killed the Video Star" was the first song played when MTV went live back in the early 80's.

I think that would be really cute if it is true. Regardless I think it is a great song because:

1. It is eight count, clear up and down beat, has a refrain all of which make it eminently dance-able.
2. The lyrics and melody vary sufficiently that you can be expressive with your dance or how you sing along with it.

-Well, don't knock Karoke till you tried it and if you suck at it or think others do you missed the point. Sure it has a scoring system, and it can be fudged if you just hit the tempo, sometimes, but I'd rather play "DDR" with a partner besides be any day of the week as be both carol out the lyrics to the MIDI song then hand out with a bunch of professional typists online that I do not even know.

I do not do Evercrack, I do not like it in a bun, I do not like it on the run, I DO NOT LIKE GREEN HAMS AND EGGS!!!

It really would be cool, unfortunately I am not THAT musical.

Here is what I need to do:

1) Find the Sheet Music for this Song and the Lyrics

2) Rescore it so I am not doing copyright infringement.
The so called "fair use" clause in the United States is never a good defense against somebody that wants to threaten you with litigation.

I will never waste my time by posting something that will simply be struck down by a embedded Lawyer Jock and his web spiders

3) Arrange a Copyright or TM that enforces open source on the song

It is sad but since so many people want to make a living off of everything there is nothing to prevent somebody from simply copy and pasting somebodies work, putting it on their portal and then trademarking the result so that even the authors of the original material have to pay the Lawyer Jock to hear their own song.

Well, I will look for the sheet music as I try to teach myself to crudely play the guitar. That project is for my own reasons. I aim to build my own electronic opensource Linux Guitar because I bored and I need a hobby that will train me in the ways of the mind, in the area of:

Technology
Open Source Camp Songs
Singing
Musicality

All of which will enhance my life so...

well I'd love to see such a creative effort myself and I'll help anybody out in the ways I can to score an opensource song.

OK, I am looking in to this for myself.

I hope that goes without saying. I got my 'intro to guitar' book from Sam Ash with the DVD tutorial. I no have an Open Source midi composer called "RoseGarden" that runs in LINUX.

But the intellectual property rights and the "fair use clause" of the millenium copyright clause for the United States is so ambigious that even law school didn't explain it to me.

There is no way I am going to have RCA or some other stupid "little" push group send me some nasty letters in the mail and have me have to give over whatever I compose to them.

Personally, I rather just deconstruct a song totally, rewrite everything, and have all the documentation to prove it because then I'll (TM) it thank you very much and put it under a GNU, or some sort of open source intellectual property law and THEN when some smart aleck wants to make a NICKLE off of it say by claiming be posting it to a copyrighted board makes it their property...

OH, I have some lawyer friends of mine that would sue those guys and gals pro bono.

But all of that takes preparation and right now I need to learn more music theory anyway so...

I can do it now! I think I can really sing the lyrics out now. It took a long time but I do swing dance, east coast lindy dance, and recently I just had a lot of time to practice lip syncing. I hope to try this soon.
