What are you looking for?:

I like the theorycrafting/number-crunching and searching all the books to make a fun character. Then seeing my character play out with all the tweaking and munchkining I did is fun. Roleplaying is fun -- the game is much funner when the GM brings it to life, and each player gets into their character. Off-sessions for a rogue while they are in a city can make that player feel like their really exploring their whole character. I like to be on an adventure. I like to have NPC's that I can remember and think they are cool. I like to have cool magic items drop from baddies, and interesting artifacts appear in loot. A GM should know all of his players' characters' skills and abilities and should provide opportunities for characters to use them (and to shine). The obstacles should be hard, but surmountable. We are creating a communal story -- and so it should be fun, lively and interesting.

Biography:

I have only played D&D. I have played AD&D, AD&D 2nd edition, third edition, 3.5 and 4. I have never belonged to a group that plays more than once a week. I prefer sessions to be long-ish (6+), with a meal break part way thru (shorter is fine, though). Um yeah.
