My preference is for games that have great depth in backstory and plot, but don't get so bogged down in RP that they lose their pacing. Whole sessions of hack and slash are great stress relievers, but complex puzzles and non-combat encounters provide great variation too. Even in a low RP setting, I like to be able to metagame my characters motivations and insights.
My perfect group would be folks similar in age and gaming experience. Mid 20's and up would be great. I have no issue with smokers, but would prefer a smoke-free gaming table (smoke breaks are fine). Similarly, a couple of beers at the table is great, but would prefer if drunken antics weren't common place.
About Me
Real Name:
Conor
Biography:
I have years of experience in quite a few game systems, and am open to learning new ones as well. I am most familiar with 3.0/3.5 D&D, and am rapidly gaining experience with 4.0 as well. Other systems I have extensive experience include the various Paladium series, WFRP, and classic AD&D. I'm a mechanics & lore geek, and while I love many settings, my favorite remains Forgotten Realms.
Looking to meet more gamers in the area. I have an existing game that meets irregularly, and I'm looking to add a 2nd game that meets more consistently. I've juggled daily games in the past, but I'm looking more for the every other week kinda thing right now. Combined with my current game that meets once a month or so, a weekend or two free every month would be great.
