What are you looking for?
I'm not very picky, so my only real preference is that I won't play games that disregard or abandon rules (like most play-by-posts that I've looked over). Rules are what give a game the element of the unknown and each action the possibility of failure. In other words, they make the game fun.
In short, I will only play a play-by-post in this format (or similar):
"I fling my throwing-axe at the orc leader. [I roll a 16+2]"
as opposed to this format:
"I fling my throwing-axe at the orc leader. Taking him unawares, the heavy blade effortlessly lops off his head." The latter, I consider self-indulgent novel-writing, and not a game.
About Me
Biography
While well-versed in the ways of Japanese- and Western-style computerized RPGs such as the Elder Scrolls series, Knights of the Old Republic, Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, Blue Dragon, and the like, I am new to the pen-and-paper scene, aside from war games such as Games Workshop's "The Lord of the Rings" series.
I am currently trying to assimilate Pathfinder's massive rulebook and start GMing games with my friends.
