I am generally a Spellthief, but I have tastes that change quickly and get bored if things go too slow. If there is a game that will allow me to play multiple characters (I.E. by way of leadership or anything else really) that would be ideal.
As a DM I like to do player run campaigns, pretty much I put in events but you guys run the game. If you sit in town twitling your thumbs your gunna get right good at being a twit (aka twitler), if you go to the adventurer's guild looking for jobs I will tell you some. If you want to travel then world, then so shall it be.
