Ahh.. Listening to this made me long for going back to GenCon. It's been a couple of years now...
Some good tips in there though -- definitely practical.

Reviewers have said "this adventure is what 4e has needed since it came out" — and this map shows the core locations of one of the richest, darkest, and most treacherous adventures ever...

The Midgard Campaign Setting is the culmination of five years of adventures and sourcebooks from Kobold Quarterly and Open Design. It brings to life a world of dark fantasy drawn from the great European...
Now that we've settled in with the new chat room software and I've finally managed to get the dice roller stable, I've started working on expanding the dice rolling functions beyond the mundane roll-x-die-y-times. The first and most requested feature was for exploding dice. And what red blooded...
I think there might be a link the chat client for a user focused manual, but I can't access it at the moment. Damned firewalls at work.
I noticed some oddities with this as well and planned to work on it. More accurately, I think it would say d20 (16) + 2 (2). That is accurate, but not...
You only received the "generic" systems because you had not gone into a specific section to upload your file. If you were in the Fantasy section, you'd get the fantasy options + generic.
It is already possible to reference a URL, but I may have only enabled that for special guests and...
For now there is not. That isn't a feature they built into it, but there is a way for me to approximate it outside of the flash interface using their API. Basically, you'd reserve a room through P&PG and then it would password protect it under the hood.
Not sure.
Just an update. I turned my attention towards getting a new chat software setup for a while, which was involved to get things like dice rollers working, etc. I'm wrapping that up, so I'll be coming back around to the Downloads section soon.
You cannot. It only allows creating rooms from the admin panel or through the API. I may add an external tool that will let you reserve a room, so to speak. But that will be later on. For now though, you'll have to use the pre-generated gaming rooms.
Very cool. From the little I read, that setting seems pretty awesome -- definitely up my alley. Alas, I'm already in a group and about to start a new Iron Kingdom's campaign or I'd definitely consider it.
Thanks, JP.
And, I have the new chat room software all picked out actually, and it specifically supports apps for the iPad, iPhone and Android. It also has an HTML5 interface for those who don't want to use Flash -- and it does support video chat if we ever decide to turn that on.
...
I've started putting together a section for this, which you can take a look in the new Downloads seciton. I'd really appreciate any feedback you or anyone else has on the categories. Also, bring up the interface to upload a resource in any of the categories and take a look at the systems and...
Thanks, Gary.
You'd have to give more information about this bug that you are talking about though. I have had no issues and this is the first I have heard of the problem.
I'm working on a couple of things actually.
1) I'm working on figuring out what chat software we can go to. The reigning champion that I find out there is 123 Flash Chat. Clearly it is not free, but it is maintained. The only potential problem is that their server software is precompiled...
I'm primarily looking to reduce and combine forums, not increase them. That said, I would create a forum if the traffic warranted it. As I post this though, these are the stats:
4th Edition Forum: 4,156 posts
3rd Edition / Pathfinder: 5,006 posts
Older Editions: 528 posts
That's really...
I've looked into a chat software that I think would be good and I can confirm that it supports iOS and Adroid. It also has an option to use HTML5 instead of Flash. The minimal license is $300 though. I've put up a donation box. Hopefully some folks will be interested in helping out to get it.
I really appreciate you all taking the time to chime in with you thoughts. I've seen some good ideas in here so far.
Cleaning up the forums is definitely on my list -- as is freshening up the design. On that note, if there are any graphically oriented people out there who would...
