I usually DM, but I've only been playing for 6 months and would like to be a PC more often. I'm looking for either people in the area (South Dallas or close to Corsicana) to play with. Fantasy setting preferably, but I'd like to try other settings as well. My husband also plays, but his schedule is variable, as he works rotating night shifts. I may play once a week, he may play once or twice a month. I'd like a group that can be flexible with his schedule so that we can play together. My DM style is fairly relaxed. I like to role play, and I like combat. I'll add in some puzzles to go with the combat, and will add some roleplaying requirements (with XP for good effort) to my adventures. I've got some great campaign ideas, and I'm pretty flexible if a player has ideas but doesn't like DMing. I make up my own and "borrow" from published adventures. Long-term campaign or short adventure, players' choice. I like to have my players build their characters from level 1, but can be flexible if someone wants to try out a leveled character that they haven't played before. I love developing adventures that revolve around my PCs, incorporating their past into the campaigns at some point. So far I've only used my own world as a setting, but I would love to try out some published ones as well. I'm learning Eberron and want to try that one out in the next few months.
As far as what I'm looking for as a player (which I'd really like more of that right now instead of DMing, especially since
About Me
Biography
I think I kind of answered all that in what I was looking for, but more about me:
I'm a Teacher's Aide for PPCD, a preschool special education program. I'm majoring in Education, EC-6. I am a mother of a beautiful and very intelligent 6-year-old daughter. I am married to a great man, a great father, and a great gamer (yes, and they are all the same person!) who is a CNA and studying to become an RN. I enjoy (besides gaming) crocheting, reading, and writing.
