What are you looking for?
As a GM, I enjoy crafting a good player driven story, challenging the players and their characters with moral decisions, strategic choices, and putting their characters through a campaign that will change them, for better or worse, as well as interesting combat. I tend to run games fast and loose, cutting out dice rolls where I can and replacing them with roleplaying challenges. Of course, my players preferences are the most important factor of how I run my games. As I player, I am more flexible, as I have been GMing for so long I just enjoy getting out from behind a screen. Most any game I am not running would be entertaining for me. That said, I prefer a heavy role playing game, with a good story behind it, and not just hack and slash. I enjoy a good mix between serious, dark RPing and light hearted, humorous stuff. I like worlds and stories that challenge the characters I create, and most importantly, a group and GM that wants the same thing out of their games.
About Me
Biography
I am a History student at ASU, formerly of Awatukee. I have been running games for my group of friends (and very rarly, when I can convince one of them to GM, playing) for 8 years or so. We started off with Shadowrun, and then shifted into Star Wars. As I became more enthusiastic, We began trying other things- Various D20 affairs, such as the WoW rpg and Adventure!, and Pirates. I didn't get into DnD until fourth edition, but we have since played a campaign in it and enjoyed it. My favorite games are probably Dark Heresy, though my group does not have the knowledge of the setting nor the demeanor to get it's darkness, and Warhammer Fantasy RP. I've also played HoL (Human Occupied Landfill) and Paranoia, but my players really aren't the type for those games either.
I don't play that often, unfortunately. My players have mostly parted ways, heading away for college or across town. I am down to a couple core players. Every few weeks we will get together once or twice for a couple sessions, but it is getting harder to get together a big enough group. So, I've decided to branch out and look to join other groups. I have only played within my circle in my entire gaming careers, and I want to see what I can learn and experience from the outside. I have the ability to play most evenings, and am completely free on weekends. I would be willing to play anywhere from twice a month to a couple times a week, and would even be willing to GM a game if I find payers who are looking for the same thing I am.
