I am most familiar with D&D fantasy settings as a player and DM. I am of course a fan of Tolkien and Robert E. Howard stories so in a campaign I tend to look for high adventure. I enjoy a play style that is cooperative between the players involved as I do not enjoy politics overly much in a game when group dynamic is challenged.
I generally play a fighter class of alignment tending toward chaotic good but am interested in a number of ideas/suggestions to get involved and challenge myself.
I am I would say most familiar these days with the Forgotten Realms game world but as long as I was given help and time to become familiar with another D&D world or a custom one I am open and willing to learn.
I enjoy being part of a good story more then anything. Combat is the challenge but the puzzles and choices made as a player is where the reward for me usually lies. I can also say that in my experience the formula for a good campaign has everything to do with the people involved...I am unsure as to what else I can say here. I am a noob again after many a long year of absence:)
About Me
Biography:
I have been a fan of the rpg genre since the early eighties. I played mostly with the D&D red box set as a teenager with some various friends over a 4-5 year period. I was never quite able to keep a campaign together as I think my interest out weighed that of my friends. I would usually DM more then play and for a time was quite familiar with the D&D and A.D&D 2nd. E rules sets.
For the last year I have been playing NeverWinterNights on line where I DM on a persistant world. The 3.5 core rules are in use but it is a custom world. I generally DM once a week there and play 2-3 times per week. It is an ongoing campaign which I have been involved in as DM for the past 6 months.
I am ready to game PnP style again and at this time own copies of the D&D 3.5 DM @ Players manuals. I am however open to playing a different RPG system, fantasy settings being those of my personal choice and strengths!
I am in my mid thirties and would be again a newcomer to the field so I would need some patience and help along the way if I can find a campaign to join. Thanks for your time.
