What are you looking for?:
My husband and I are looking to join or form a weekly or bimonthly tabletop RPG group in the Lafayette area. Neither of us has the time to devote to DMing right now, so finding a DM is of utmost importance. Or, alternating DM privileges/responsibilities could be an option. Once we took turns with a group of friends and it was a lot of fun. We prefer smaller groups for logistical purposes, so games can be played in the home (due to hearing damage at rock concerts, I have trouble hearing in settings with lots of background noise). Preferably not more than 5 or 6 people total, including a DM with previous experience running RPGs if possible, or we could alternate DM privileges/responsibilities and just have fun with it. We're not picky about the game or edition. We own books for Star Wars, L5R, and AD&D 1st-3rd editions (can get 4th edition if necessary). We could play Tuesday or Thursday nights, alternating Friday or Saturday nights, Sundays during the daytime. Monday and Wednesday nights are out until July 29. Weekend nights would need to be bimonthly; weekday nights could be weekly.
Husband and wife gaming duo (30ish), academic background, wife with 16 years RPG experience, husband with 4+ RPG but lifelong gamer; between us we've played D&D, AD&D 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions, lots of different settings from to Eberron to Ravenloft, L5R, Star Wars, Deadlands, and various other d20 systems including homebrew.
