I'd like to meet a cool group of fellow gamers for some quality tabletop, snacks, and good conversation.
I'd really love to try Eclipse Phase. I have the PDF and I'm really looking forward to getting the hard cover. Schismatrix, Accelerando and Revelation Space are favorite reads and definitely major inspiration for this game.
Further, I'm still definitely looking for an RP heavy Exalted game. I'd prefer Sidereals or Autochthonians if at all possible, but I'm flexible. I've always wanted to try Unknown Armies and Kult, but I've never had the chance. On the off chance you're running 2nd edition Mage, Adventure, or Aberrant, I'll happily join in.
About Me
Biography
Me:
-I'm a chatty, social, funny, INFJ kinda guy in my early 30s.
-I love to play explorers, engineers, and lunatics (sometimes all 3 at once).
-I'm not into constant combat, power gaming, or obsessive application of rules.
-I provide the comic relief both in and out of character, but I aim for a dry wit rather than clunky jokes.
-I'm married to a non-gamer and none of my friends still play, so I'm looking for a new crew.
I haven't played tabletop in a good many years. Life got a little ahead of me and opportunities dried up as old relationships faded. So it goes.
Experience (for those interested):
I cut my teeth on Cyberpunk 2020 back in 1992, played pickup games of Rifts and Shadowrun, and eventually got hooked on modern horror. Cthulhu and Vampire were my thing, though games were sparse in my home town.
I was both a player and ST for the Vampire LARP at BU in the late 90s and played across the World of Darkness in tabletop format during that same period. The crew I played with got hooked on Mage 2nd ed and we played some amazing games with wild characters. We also managed a long running Vampire: The Dark Ages campaign and countless pickup games.
From 2000-2002 I played with a crew that liked to change games every other session and ended up playing in a huge variety of settings.
Since 02 I've only played the occasional game. For the most part the old college game crew have drifted apart and I'm too much of a homebody to find a new one.
