What are you looking for?

I'm looking for a group of primarily 30s/40s folks who are laid back, a mix of geek and muggle, and want to do more in their game than dungeon-delve (though that can often be a hoot). Homebrews are generally okay. I prefer role- over roll-playing, not so much the min-maxing, and starting characters small and building them. I'd love to get involved in a game world instead of just ransacking it. Steampunk, space opera, hard sci-fi, fantasy, urban weirdness, horror - it's all good. It's about the players, not the setting or the rules - the right mix of folks can make anything fun.

Biography

I cut my teeth on D&D in 1979, though didn't really start playing seriously until '83. I've played Amber, classic Marvel (love it!), Deadlands, Call of Cthulhu (classic), Champions (once), WoD, Ars Magica - geez, it's been so long I forget half of them. Right now I might play once a month, always 3.5 with my long-time group in NJ, but it's irregular and I could use a fix, especially one West of the Delaware River. I'm all about world-building, game mechanics and fiction - while I've pretty much given up any dreams of publishing my own gaming work, I'm open to collaboration with like-minded folks. I do have some ideas I think would work splendidly...
