  1. Hey Howard,

I am interested in 4e, but I am not looking to upgrade yet. I have a ton of supplement books for 3.0/3.5 and I am very familiar with the system.

As you know, running a game takes a time investment before the actual game session. I run a business, so trying to upgrade to 4e would just take away too much time.

With 3.5 I can whip up a campaign & we can get right into the action. Besides, I tend to focus on story and high adventure more than game mechanics. The current system works just fine for those needs.

Supplement books are more than welcome in my game, but everything revolves around character & story. So if you want to be some sort of prestige class, we'll work together to make a cool story around it.

I may even send you on a quest.... let's hope you survive... Muwaa haa haa haa.

    Nah, just kidding... kinda.

If you want to join, Just let me know. I will arrange for our first meeting.

    Dragonlady has also expressed interest.

Is there any way to persuade you to start learning/using the 4th Edition? I was hesitant at first to reinvest myself in a new edition, but I've been playing for 3 months now, and it works pretty well... sure, it's not exactly the same, some costs/benefits... but the future, whether we like it or not is 4e... so why not 'upgrade'? I guarantee you'd get plenty of players for your Sunday afternoon, me included, since the location sounds rather comfy! You could be a player instead of DM, if you'd prefer, while learning the new edition... it wouldn't take long for an experienced roleplayer to figure the new stuff out. Anyways, I'm just throwing out the idea... let me know what you're thinking, please email:

I hope to hear from you.

If you do decide to stick w/ 3.5e, will you be allowing all the supplements books and such? Starting at 1st level? If I can't persuade you to 4e, I may have to join you at 3.5e...

    Good luck with your search!

Another good place to try and find players for the valley is there are a couple of active groups there who may be interested.

Hey guys,

I run a 3.0/3.5 edition game. I have a substantial financial investment in 3.0/3.5 so I am not interested in running a 4ed Game.

I live in Sherman Oaks and I have an Office in Van Nuys where we play every sunday from 12-6. Sometimes we run later depending.

There is a 7 Eleven around the corner for munchies and a Tommy Burger if you feel like something really greasy. lol.

I run a cinematic style of gameplay where story and characters are the main focus. I incorporate music from movies and overall try to make sure everyone is having a good time.

I also incorporate some homebrew rules & reward systems.

I run mainly in the Forgotten realms, but I am looking to grow and have lots of fun as a DM. As time progresses, I am open to running many different types of adventures.

I always meet new players in a "meet & greet" prior to introduction to the game.
If you are looking for a fun group, with a focus on Plot, Character & Storytelling Adventure, We might be the group for you.

Looking forward to making new gaming friends.

About Me
I've been playing DnD since I was a kid. I love it. Nuff Said.
